In the role:
You will report to the Head of Marketing and work alongside a small but collaborative marketing and sales team.
You will be Google’s best friend and be able to deliver our search marketing strategy designed to bring Zoonou to the top of the search engine results pages – both organically and paid.
You will use your analytical skills to research and understand our content’s SEO performance and use your writing and optimisation skills to update and inform what we publish.
You will be a passionate and natural storyteller who can translate technical concepts and brand messaging into strategic business value propositions; you’ll create content that captures attention, communicates value, and inspires action.
You will be a talented writer with a passion for on-page SEO to help define and implement an optimisation strategy for our existing and future content. You’ll create a range of written content, from e-guides and blog posts to service guides and case studies.
You will use keyword and competitor research and optimise our landing pages to deliver successful campaigns.
You will manage our email marketing programme, including marketing automation for conversion initiatives, including campaign set-up and sync, drip emails, forms, landing pages and workflows.
And take ownership of these key responsibilities:
Search engine optimisation – using research (SEMrush) and data to create relevant content and a link building strategy that will improve organic rankings and traffic.
Search engine marketing – own and deliver PPC and paid social campaigns. To maximise campaign effectiveness, capture and identify multi-touch attribution to track touchpoints across the funnel.
Copy writing – deliver a range of written content, including blog posts, case studies, web page, e-books, email, and paid ads.
Content management – post updates to our website focussing on driving traffic through effective SEO and SEM strategies.
Conversion optimisation – track key landing pages (using goals via GTM or GA), perform A/B testing and apply learning to implement improvements to increase conversion rates.
Monthly reporting – using Google Analytics, AdWords, and Data Studio to report on successes and areas for future optimisation.
You will bring to the role:
The ability to demonstrate a portfolio of written content (e.g., blog posts, web page, sales literature, and ad copy) that captures attention, communicates value, and inspires action.
Experience in performing SERP and keyword research and use this to inform our PPC & content strategies on an ongoing basis.
A deep understanding of the importance of competitor keyword analysis, the opportunities of gap analysis and the risks of SEO cannibalisation.
Demonstratable experience in using SEO tools like SEMrush, and Yoast.
A solid understanding of performance platforms including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, AdWords and Matomo.
Experience of marketing to the B2B technology services buyer – from the c-suite down to developers, product owners and project managers.
Well-crafted compelling positioning and messaging that translates technical concepts into strategic business value propositions.
Email campaigns that nurture leads and move them along the pipeline. You’ll have experience of email marketing platforms (HubSpot is advantageous).
