Meet our new Employee-Trustee Director: Katie

Katie has been part of the Zoonou family for nearly five years as a Client Partner, building strong, lasting relationships with our clients. But there’s more to Katie than client strategy - she’s a former primary school teacher, an accomplished singer and actor, and a musical theatre performer. And a proud mum to a lively daughter.

When asked why she wanted to become a Trustee Director, Katie shared:

“I’ve always felt deeply connected to Zoonou’s values, and becoming a B-Corp and employee-owned has only strengthened that connection. Over the years, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to experience the genuine support of my colleagues and the company - especially during my motherhood journey. I faced two pregnancy losses before being blessed with my daughter, and my pregnancy was filled with anxiety as a result. Throughout it all, Zoonou gave me the time and space I needed to recover, provided a safe environment to discuss my emotions and anxieties, and worked with me to ensure a smooth and successful return to work after maternity leave.

Experiencing that level of care and support first-hand inspired me to stand as a Trustee Director. I’m passionate about helping Zoonou continue a culture where we genuinely care for each other’s wellbeing and success, while also growing the company. For me, it’s about supporting every individual to thrive.”

What Katie brings to the board:

Katie's excited to focus on initiatives that strengthen our team culture, ensuring Zoonou remains transparent, supportive, and values-driven - both internally and externally.

As we welcome Katie, we also want to thank Chris, our outgoing Trustee Director, for his dedication over the last two years. Chris has been an integral part of our journey and recently celebrated 10 years at Zoonou.
