  • navigate most of our website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of our website using speech recognition software

This statement explains what we know about the accessibility of our website, what we are doing to address the accessibility of our website and how to contact us about web accessibility.

How accessible is our website

We know that some areas of our website are not yet fully accessible.

  • Our focus indicator does not have a contrast level of 3:1 against all backgrounds on the site
  • Users are able to tab to all interactive elements of the website; however, users are currently forced to tab through every menu drop down within the main navigation and the cookie notice is last in the focus order.
  • Multiple ways are not provided to navigate to pages

Compliance statement

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:

  • Checkbox elements at the bottom of the Contact page are not grouped using a fieldset and legend.
  • Text input fields within forms do not use ‘autocomplete’ attributes.
  • At high zoom levels, users are only able to interact with the Live Chat CTA and not any input fields.
  • In a non-focused state form input fields and buttons do not have sufficient contrast to identify their boundaries.
  • Menu drop downs that appear on hover cannot be dismissed without moving focus using the keyboard or mouse.
  • Copy has insufficient contrast to the site background within the button ‘Got it!’ on the cookie notice, and, at some breakpoints, within the page header.
  • The live chat widget is currently not operable with a keyboard and voice recognition software.
  • All pages contain an <h1> and <h2>; however on some pages <h3> and <h4> headings are skipped in the DOM.
  • In operation of the site with a keyboard only, the user is forced to tab through all menu drop downs and cannot choose to exit a menu dropdown if following the focus order.
  • Users are not focused on the Cookie Notice when accessing the site, as a result some users may not know it is present.
  • The Zoonou site does not utalise a site map or a search function to allow multiple ways of visiting a page.
  • Status messages are not announced by screen readers at current.

We are planning to replace the Zoonou website with a new version that meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. In the meantime, should any issues be present that prevent you from accessing information on the site please contact: and we will provide you with an alternative means of access.
