What you'll do as our Marketing Manager
Marketing is how we connect our work and people to the world. We’ve got strong stories to tell - from the impact of our client work to the people behind it, to what it means to be an employee-owned and B Corp certified company. The opportunity is to bring those stories together and make sure they reach the right audiences in a way that builds awareness, trust and commercial growth.
We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to help shape how we show up across our digital channels - helping us attract new clients, engage existing ones, and support long-term relationships that drive our company forward.
This is a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership and seeing the direct impact of their work on engagement, pipeline and brand perception.
You’ll work closely with the Marketing Director and wider team to plan, deliver and optimise activity across email, SEO, socials, events and content - making sure everything is joined up, purposeful and effective.
Owning how we stay connected with our audiences
Initially, this will be your core ownership area - shaping how we nurture relationships, stay relevant and turn interest into conversations.
- Own email marketing activity (newsletters, campaigns and nurturing journeys).
- Design and deliver lead nurturing and re-engagement activity.
- Ensure timely, relevant and well-targeted communications across audiences.
- Support the journey from awareness through to enquiry and engagement.
- Use insight to improve performance, timing and messaging over time.
Making us easy to find, understand and trust online
You’ll help make sure our website and search presence are clear, credible and working hard for the business.
- Improve how we show up across our website and search (SEO).
- Support ongoing website updates, improvements and optimisation.
- Ensure content is clear, accessible and conversion-focused.
- Identify opportunities to improve visibility, reach and performance.
Turning our work into stories people want to read
You’ll bring together our projects, people and ideas into content that builds understanding and confidence.
- Create blogs, case studies and thought leadership content.
- Translate complex work into clear, engaging narratives.
- Ensure content is useful, relevant and consistent with our brand.
- Support basic design and video editing where needed.
- Maintain quality, tone and accessibility across everything we publish.
Building visibility and conversations on social media
You’ll help us show up consistently and credibly where our audiences are already paying attention.
- Manage and grow our social presence - primarily LinkedIn and IG.
- Turn stories, content and updates into engaging social posts.
- Support campaign amplification across social channels.
- Maintain a consistent tone, voice and brand presence.
- Identify opportunities to increase reach, engagement and visibility.
Bringing our people and work to life through events
You’ll support how we attend and communicate around events that matter to our audiences.
- Support promotion of events, webinars and industry activity.
- Create pre- and post-event communications to maximise impact.
- Turn event content into ongoing digital assets where relevant.
- Help ensure events feel connected to wider marketing activity.
- Support attendance growth and audience engagement over time.
The experience you'll bring
You don’t need to tick every box to be a great fit for this role. What matters most is that you’ve worked in digital marketing before, you’re comfortable turning ideas and insights into action, and you can create content and campaigns that connect marketing activity to commercial outcomes.
Here’s what would set you up well in this role:
- 3+ years’ experience in digital marketing - ideally in a B2B technical or services-led environment.
- Experience delivering digital marketing activity across channels such as email, SEO, content and social media.
- Experience working with CRM and marketing platforms (HubSpot or similar) to support audience engagement and communication.
- Experience creating email campaigns and nurture journeys that feel relevant, well-timed and genuinely useful.
- Ability to turn ideas, insights or client stories into content people want to read.
- Confidence working with data - understanding what’s working, reporting on it, and improving performance over time.
- Experience improving engagement, visibility or conversion through digital marketing activity.
- Understanding of how marketing supports commercial growth, lead generation and long-term client relationships.
- Experience working alongside sales or client-facing teams is a bonus.
- Basic experience with design or video editing tools would be helpful, but isn’t essential.
And the way you work
Just as important as what you’ve done is how you approach your work. We’re a small team, so we need someone comfortable taking ownership, making decisions, and moving things forward. In practice, that probably looks like someone who:
- Likes bringing structure to things and improving them over time.
- Is happy making decisions and prioritising their own workload.
- Cares about doing things well - not just getting them done.
- Notices what needs doing and takes the initiative to act on it.
- Can switch between working with data and writing messaging depending on what’s needed.
Your working hours and location
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30
- Location: Hybrid. You’ll be in person around 2 days per week, either in our Eastbourne office or with our Marketing Director in Kent (within easy reach of the East Sussex / Kent border). Where needed, we’re happy to discuss practical support around travel and accommodation.
